All the Legendary groups in Hearthstone's New Arena

Hello from the team behind HSReplay.net and Hearthstone Deck Tracker! We're hard at work building new features that will support drafting Arena, but wanted to take this opportunity to share some data we've gathered since the Arena was updated just a few days ago.

Hearthstone recently made significant changes to the Arena game mode. Together with splitting the it into two separate game modes and some refreshed visuals we, got some interesting new features such as re-draft on loss and Legendary groups.

When starting your draft and you have picked your hero, you will immediately notice the legendary card groups. They work like this: Picking a legendary card automatically brings along a set of related cards, that fit mechanically and thematically with the legendary itself:

A screenshot from Hearthstone while drafting in Arena, showing Nightmare Lord Xavius being offered alongside "Create or Madness", "Raptor Herald", "Treacherous Tormentor". Nightmare Lord Xavius reads "Battlecry: Discover a minion from your deck. Give it a Dark Gift.""

If you've already played the Arena since the rework, or even if you're already deep in competing in The Underground Arena, you may have already encountered enticing choices and seen some powerful groups being played by your opponents.

However, to see them all you'd probably have to spend dozens of tickets. That's where we come in! Gathered from the data players have uploaded using Hearthstone Deck Tracker, and processed in the backend of HSReplay.net, we've assembled a preliminary list of all the groups we've seen players pick.

Data Source: We've collected all drafts uploaded to HSReplay.net from the first 48 hours since the Arena was reworked on June 2nd, 2025, and have grouped each Legendary with the cards they always appear with. Due to us updating our systems, we're only considering cards that were actually drafted, and it is likely that we're missing some groups that weren't picked enough to appear here.

Quick Tip: If you see an underlined card name below, just hover or tap it to see a preview of the card image!

Let's start with the top five!

#1: Fyrakk the Blazing

If you haven't eaten Hellfires, Supernovas and Fireballs to the face yet, you probably haven't played that much of the new Arena. With presence in 2.5% of drafts Fyrakk the Blazing is by far the most popular legendary we've seen in our data so far. They're accompanied by Dragon synergy in the form of Dragon Breeder, Future Emissary, Tormented Dreadwing.

#2: Dreamplanner Zephrys

Dreamplanner Zephrys may be the face of this package, but the magic lies with the 3 cards it brings along: Wish, Wish, and - you guessed it - Wish. With the promise of always having the perfect response to whatever game situation you encounter, this group was chosen by players in 2.3% of all drafts we've seen.

#3: Nightmare Lord Xavius

Dark Gifts galore with Nightmare Lord Xavius! Together with Treacherous Tormentor, Creature of Madness and Raptor Herald you'll have plenty of minion generation along with the Dark Gift buff, of course (this group is the precise reason we noticed and fixed the handbuff counter annoyingly appearing when you picked a minion with the Sweet Dreams dark gift!).

#4: Harth Stonebrew

In 2.2% of drafts we see players picking Harth Stonebrew, together with Bob the Bartender, Avatar of Hearthstone and Champions of Azeroth. If we had to name this group it would probably be Hearthstone (and Battlegrounds) Nostalgia!

#5: Kazakusan

Fyrakk isn't the only Dragon in the top five: Kazakusan is present in 1.9% of drafts together with his band consisting of Amalgam of the Deep x2 and Tormented Dreadwing.

#6: Prince Malchezaar, Prince Malchezaar, Prince Malchezaar & Prince Malchezaar

Did we say top five? Well, we can't really justify skipping this one: four copies of Prince Malchezaar make up 1.8% of all drafts. While the jury is still out of the power level of this deck, you probably won't run out of cards too soon if you start the match with 50 of them in your deck..

As the full list is a little long, we've attached the remainders here. As a reminder, this list may very well be not exhaustive! We haven't spot-checked every single one, so there might also be something weird in here. In any case, enjoy!

From here on out, these groups are in less than 1% of drafts we saw:

This next set of groups was present in less than 0.5% of drafts:

This last set of groups was present in 0.1% or less of drafts:

Remember, there may be more groups here that nobody picked!
